I feel the sickness that Nikki has just gotten over creeping up into my veins and seeping into my flesh…and I am quite upset. Thankfully, Nikki gave me some Echinacea and hopefully it works and I feel spritely tomorrow morning. Until then, I must feed the sickness with a 2 hour, hot as hell, traffic spree and then 4 more hours of work at my job in Long Island! Welcome to the adult world Patrick.
Yes…welcome. Picture a welcome mat made out of broken glass. That’s the kind of welcome a young person has to the “adult” world. This has been said 2 million times before, but damn, I wish I could be a kid again. I want the days back where my biggest concern was getting home for dinner on time…or who was going to be my tag-football teammate. Those were the days, man. My nephew’s got no idea how lucky he is at age 4 to be entirely clueless.
But there are still amazing things to be done in the adult world that benefits all ages…and that’s really what you have to strive to do. Why bother going to a job on a daily basis that you despise…just so you can do what I’m doing right now and complain? As long as you do something worthwhile for others in your lifetime, then it’s all okay. High Breed’s one of those special places where adults are doing what they love for a good cause…not sitting in 4x4 cubicles talking shit about their bosses or co workers. Cha know what I mean?
Anyway, that is my ramble for the day. Till tomorrow everyone!

Bilkis likes Oreo’s! Who knew!? I love how much I learn here at HighBreedMusic about all different cultures and different kinds of people. French, German, Canadian, Cuban, South Asian, Pakistani, Irish, St. Lucian…so many different people I come into contact with on a daily basis. It’s freaking awesome…learning how to say certain phrases in certain languages and learning about what each culture enjoys as far as food, entertainment, music, movies, and the list goes on on. I will bash every barrier created from childhood that is soaked with ignorance until none remain and I am open to all. Good day today…we were all busy staring at our computers until our eyes criss-crossed. Till later/tomorrow everyone!

Yes….Nikki did. I witnessed it. It was quite impressive. Also…I don’t think she realized she just posted the 200TH text! That’s what happens….so busy we don’t REALIZE drastic things such as creating a 200TH blog. That’s 200 thoughts from just a couple of people…that’s pretty sweet my dudes. Anyway, today was a really fun, productive day for real. We’re all really excited for another(!) session coming up this Monday. Till then, well be cracking down writing, mixing, and editing videos, songs, and documents. Good times. Till later

Our session with Li’nard’s Many Moods was simply amazing. A seriously talented group of musicians and singers, their expertise in getting the crowd singing, and even dancing upon the stage, oozed through and was proven by endless smiles and head bobbing/butt shaking. As a musician myself, I found myself staring at Li’nard’s fingers while he played bass and just wondering how he can possibly make it look so easy. The same goes for each and every member of the group. We would like to thank Li’nard’s Many Moods for taking a trip out to Brooklyn and grooving the house down. As I said a lot last night, their music was almost edible…I could basically taste it…like strawberry shortcake…or perhaps toasted almond ice cream…if you prefer. Whatever tastes like heaven basically.

Howdy Howdy Howdy,
For those of you who don’t know, that introduction is taken from the greatest movie of all time: Toy Story. It is the scene where Woody wakes up and the shark has his cowboy hat on and, mocking him, says “Look, I’m Woody; Howdy Howdy Howdy!” Honestly, I could watch Toy Story on a daily basis and never get sick of it…and I’m 22 years old. Is that childish? There’s just something magical about something that is made for kids but could still crack adults up at the same time. Which leads me, really, to the point of even mentioning my weird obsession with Toy Story. Nikki and I were talking about our creation of a children’s album, and the main goal is to create something that kids can learn from and enjoy, but that the parents don’t have to be tortured by at the same time. Everybody likes a win win situation, and a children’s album is just one of the many projects HighBreedMusic is working on that is for a cause and a purpose.
Don’t take this as me “tooting my own horn,” or, our horn; I’m just excited for our plans. In the meantime, HighBreedMusic is still hard at work preparing for the Inword show on Sunday! It’s going to be spectacular…I feel it under my flesh, rattling my bones. The Khan’s calender today is filled up to the brim with meetings, Nikki is at her bridal and I miss her guidance, and I am ready to type my fingers off. Till later, people.

What’s up,
Right now the team is brainstorming ideas to create an exalted mission statement; writing on the white-board and letting our mouths flow. The problem is there are so many aspects that make us unique it’s hard to make a general thesis statement out of it; not to sound like we’re, or I’m, tooting our own horn. It’s just reality, you know? Anyway, we’ve got a lot of writing, mixing, and editing to do so, till later.

Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday= busy, busy, busy. Have I said “busy, busy, busy” before? Oh well, forgive me but sometimes it just takes too long to find the perfect phrasing. Letting it slide, I’ll say that cleaning for the first part of the day, and writing, editing, mixing for the second part has kept everyone productive. I mean, it’s pretty easy to be productive when you have an ongoing playlist of Michael Jackson and Prince in the background. Toss in a little Marvin Gaye and you got a recipe for a happily active day. Nikki and I have been busy editing an important letter…the joys of being a writer and trying to find the perfect ways to express what you want to say. Aggravation ensues!
See that! At least what we are writing for a purpose…something we can feel worthy of putting our best efforts into. The rest of the team’s been doing everything from mixing and editing some tracks to making some sweet espressos.

Scott, Mike, and Buse are continuing their Tom highlights and song edits…it’s all coming together nicely and sounds pretty rad to me. Good news of the day (that I found out): Groundfood was really happy with our video for them! This all makes us really proud and inspires us to work harder to please all these artists that we admire and respect. Till tomorrow (or tonight, depending upon my mood) I wish you all a very happy Tuesday evening/night!
