My internship here at HighBreedMusic and The Breeding Ground NYC is slowly coming to a close. I have been working on my portfolio and it brings a smile on my face when I go through all my memories here. The bands I’ve worked with are some of the most incredible musicians I have ever met, and the connections I have made will last me a lifetime. I have learned so much about audio production and how many different aspects there are to being an audio engineer. All in all, as Arnold says “I WILL BE BACK!” = )

We’re going to tackle that creepy storage space high up in one of the wall of the office.
I’m not really sure what’s up there, but we’re prepared to discover the mysteries as we climb the ginormous ladder and reorganize the space. It’s gonna be real dirty ;)
Did you catch FunkNYCity on thevillageunderground.com last night? Omg!! They killed it! KILLED IT! dysFUNKtiON and Li’nard’s Many Moods….lol, explosive. It was crazy to watch online, so I know the crowd at the Underground was having a great experience. At one point they called out every person in the audience with slowwwwed down cover of “Get Up,” and the club was rocked! It was insane!
Ok, to the caves!
Have a great day :)

Li’nard Many Moods and Inaya Day!!
Got plans for Thursday? Make a date with East Village superstars Li’nard’s Many Moods and Inaya Day at Groove. It’s hard to contain yourself while they play pop, dance, soul, funk, rock, and RnB, like you’ve never experienced it before: organic, raw, and guaranteed to keep you dancing all night…or at least until 2am. Think you won’t? This band loves a challenge! Before the night is through, they’ll even have the biggest, toughest dude in the crowd on stage learning how to “lean back.” If you haven’t had an opportunity to catch one of their shows, this you should definitely come out Thursday.
See you at Groove!

Our session with Li’nard’s Many Moods was simply amazing. A seriously talented group of musicians and singers, their expertise in getting the crowd singing, and even dancing upon the stage, oozed through and was proven by endless smiles and head bobbing/butt shaking. As a musician myself, I found myself staring at Li’nard’s fingers while he played bass and just wondering how he can possibly make it look so easy. The same goes for each and every member of the group. We would like to thank Li’nard’s Many Moods for taking a trip out to Brooklyn and grooving the house down. As I said a lot last night, their music was almost edible…I could basically taste it…like strawberry shortcake…or perhaps toasted almond ice cream…if you prefer. Whatever tastes like heaven basically.

I’m excited! My parents are on their way up right now, coming for my graduation tomorrow, and tonight I will take them to Groove to see Li’nard’s Many Moods.
Check Li’nard on bass:
That’s just him, but the whole act is so sick! If you haven’t been out to see them, do yourself a favor, check them out! I’ve been watching them for years, and it’s always a great show! Wow, that’s a bunch of exclamation points. Let me calm myself.
I’m off on a Saturday for the first time since December, what an amazing feeling! I can’t get used to it yet though, next week, the usual grind continues, and then some. We’re going to have a busy week with new interns coming and getting ready for the crazy summer of 2011. Woo! Oh, I was supposed to be calm.
Don’t know if I can, so, I will get on with my Saturday.
If you’re wondering what to do tonight though, check out Li’nard’s Many Moods at Groove tonight. Show starts at 9:30pm, and admission is free (there is a two drink minimum though). These guys will have you laughing, dancing, and talking about them long after the show is over.
Happy Saturday!
