Money
This morning while I had my hour and a half of steady thinking due to traffic, I started to ponder all of the things I want to do. Then, I remembered what Salinger says in The Catcher in The Rye: “Goddamn money, it always ends up making you blue as hell,” and I realized no truer statement could be written any simpler than that. All of my aspirations…to be a writer, to record an album, to buy a cup of coffee; it all requires money. It’s one of those things that you really can’t think too much about or it really does make you “blue as hell.” Yet, there are ways to do whatever you want as long as you care enough and take the proper steps. It’s nice to come to a place like HighBreedMusic where you know everyone there isn’t just working for that green stuff. We are excited to do what we love for that very reason: it’s what we love. My lack of a full wallet doesn’t matter here; just chill people all doing what we love. That’s why I endure all this traffic, that’s why I get up early; and it’s a beautiful thing. Now, we have a very busy day ahead of us so cheers till later!
