Our artists include a diverse range of international artists with major label credits, in genres including Neo-Soul, Funk, RnB, Jazz, Roots Reggae, and World Music.
We offer several services including recording packages, beat conversion, bookings, a catalog of over 20 different styles of music for singers, MC's, and other vocalists to choose from, industry events, and a weekly writing night for session musicians.

Day Sessions
We’re avoiding the cloudy day here @ HighBreedMusic with a Day Session. In addition to being a live spot with a charitable focus where some of the most premiere acts in NY and abroad come to shine, the Studio functions as, well, a studio.

With access to so many amazing acts, HighBreedMusic is helping to expand their reach by adding them to our new Video Series. The staged, single camera videos of artists’ latest singles, or simply moments of impromptu inspiration, are built to instantaneously garner new fans and gain momentum for the best of HighBreedMusic talent so far.
Last nite HBM welcomed Mariella, the co-host of the renowned Freestyle Mondays in Manhattan. Her magnetic vocals set the tone for the shoot and made for a great short we’ll be posting soon.

(RIP) Don Cornelius
The music world has lost a wonderful pioneer today with the death of Soul Train host, Don Cornelius. His contribution to both black music and media made it possible for early modern soul to be broadcast to mainstream America and led to Soul Train’s influence on many popular artists to come.

The High Breed Approach
So, when we say The Breeding Ground is a full-service recording lounge, we mean it. The space doubles as the practice home for HighBreedMusic’s own Improv House Group, The High Breed Approach. This well-versed 3-piece rhythm section is comprised of rotating virtuosos Alex “That Dude” Busby Smith (Bass), Bob “Bobby Pocket” Edinger (Drums), and Tariq Khan (Vocals). We couldn’t be more thrilled to see the guys in action as they begin their February rehearsal schedule for a host of exciting events to come..!

With just two days left on this month’s calendar, HighBreedMusic is diving head first into February with some exciting, new projects in the works. This weekend alone has been spent recording singing drummer, Yahoteh Kakayi, with musicians Dave Cutler (Bass), Travis Antoine (Trumpet), Mark Bell (Drums), Judd Nielsen (Keys), & Bob Lanzetti (Guitar). Tonight, we’ve spent Sunday evening capturing the traditional Jazz stylings of trumpeter Carlos Redman. Needless to say, the doors of HighBreedMusic are swinging..!

Expansion
After last night’s show, the Curtis MacDonald Group definitely made their mark on The Breeding Ground..! Their high level of skill and musical expression brought a new sonic experience to the stage. We’re looking forward to their footage, especially the shots from the GoPro Camera mounted high on Chris Tordini’s Upright Bass.
